COURSE DESCRIPTION: Principles of data communications and computer networks

COURSE GOAL: 

After completing this course, you should be able to:

  • Identify and understand the different components of the ISO/OSI model;
  • Design simple data communication systems; and 
  • Describe major network specifications and topologies such as Ethernet, Token Rings, and FDDI.
