Kamran Mir

Kamran is an EdTech Researcher and Trainer. He’s currently working as a Senior Research Assistant at TU Dublin and also working on a project by SFI’s d-real centre for research training with a focus on Digital Platform Technology. Specifically, he is investigating relationships between learning design choices and inferences that can be made about student engagement and well-being from data collected by Educational Technology. He has worked with Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Pakistan as Assistant Director IT for more than 10 years which is one of the mega open universities of the world. He also did his Master’s degree in GIS from National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Pakistan which is ranked #1 in Pakistan and is among the top 100 Asian universities according to QS world university ranking 2023. His area of research revolves around GIS, Spatial Learning Analytics and Distance Education. He is a very dynamic and active young researcher who is passionate about EdTech, Research and teaching. He has received several international awards and research fellowships including one Gold Medal and three Silver Medals from the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) and has more than 20 research publications in different international journals and conferences.
