Jennifer Christine C. Fajardo-Dobbs

Lecturer, Education & Information and Communication Studies

Dr. Jenni Fajardo-Dobbs is currently an adjunct lecturer at the Faculty of Information and Communication Studies, University of the Philippines – Open University (UPOU). She earned a Doctorate in Educational Technology from the International Christian University in Tokyo, Japan. Outside of the academe, Dr. Dobbs has also been very active in supporting fellow military spouses and other members of the military community. As a military spouse, she has been immersed in research, education, and training endeavors to support resilience and mental health initiatives. She is also a co-founder of the Foreign-Born Military Spouse Network, which aims to empower foreign-born military spouses as they navigate military life. She was recognized as the 2024 Armed Forces Insurance Military Spouse of the Year (Minot Air Force Base) and was one of the three finalists for the US Air Force branch. Her research interests include Open Education, MOOCs, PAH (Pedagogy, Andragogy, Heutagogy), Open Pedagogies, PedAIgogy, Learner Support, Resilience in Education, and Collaborative Online International Learning.
