COURSE DESCRIPTION: Philosophical, social, and moral foundations of the corporate social responsibility of human organizations in a developing society
PREREQUISITE: None
COURSE GOAL: This course aims to help students gain a clear understanding of the fundamental concept of corporate social responsibility as practiced by various corporations in the Philippines.
At then end of the course, students should be able to:
- Discuss what Corporate Social Responsibility is and its related initiative University Social Responsibility
- Describe CSR communication as a sub-field of communication
- Discuss the theoretical underpinnings of CSR Communication
- Discuss the various CSR communication models, strategies, and mechanisms
- Discuss the trends, issues, and challenges in CSR communication
- Prepare a plan of action for the effective communication of a CSR program
