COURSE TITLE: INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Current and emerging information and communication technologies and their application to the generation, processing, storage, and utilization of information and other social messages
PREREQUISITE: None
COURSE GOAL: To provide an overview of the wide range of applications of ICTs in the design of effective and efficient communication programs both in the public and private sectors.
At the end of the semester, I expect you to be able to do the following:
- Articulate and demonstrate an understanding and fresh insight into the evolution of ICTs and the role they play in the “information age.”
- Discuss critically the current and emerging trends in ICTs and their applications to effective and efficient communication programs for national development.
- Articulate the issues and emerging concerns regarding the availability and application of ICTs in the areas of education, the arts, national development, and other spheres of social concerns.
