COURSE TITLE: INFORMATION AND KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Theoretical Foundations, Principles and Development Applications of Information and Knowledge Management.

PREREQUISITE: None

COURSE GOAL: This course will contribute to the Doctor of Communication Program’s goal of enabling the graduate to generate rigorous and scientific knowledge and skills and bring these into the professional practice of communication. 

At the end of the course, the student should be able to: 

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of information and knowledge and its implications on the practice of knowledge management. 
  • Discuss the development applications of information and knowledge management and the types of projects associated with these. 
  • Contribute to the course content by proposing and assessing knowledge management learning resources. 
  • Participate in an international online discussion forum. 
  • Organize and facilitate a community of practice.
