FICS Faculty Member Takes Oath as CHED Technical Panel Member

Asst. Prof. Dr. Benigno B. Agapito, Jr. (rightmost in photo) took his oath as a member of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Technical Panel for Multimedia Arts. The oath-taking ceremony for newly reconstituted Technical Panels for different disciplines was conducted at the Luxent Hotel in Quezon City on 9 December 2024. The program was officiated by Dr. J. Prospero “Popoy” de Vera III, the Chairman of the Commission on Higher Education. “We are now reconstituting the Technical Panels of all disciplines to continue the reforms in higher education so that graduates become employment-ready consistent with national and international needs. BAMS Students Present Metaverse Exhibit in Japan

Volunteer students from the Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Studies (BAMS) Program recently showcased an innovative metaverse exhibit during a short study visit to Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS). This presentation featured curated videos from students enrolled in MMS 198, a special topics course on intercultural communication and building digital bridges between the Philippines and Japan. The exhibit included contributions from collaborating institutions such as Tsuda University, the University of California Irvine, and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
