RIPPLE Lab aims to provide a collaborative platform for scholars, researchers, practitioners, and graduate students to explore innovative approaches to development communication, digital engagement, and technology-mediated social transformation.

Anchored in development communication, digital media studies, and interdisciplinary research methodologies, the group seeks to bridge theory and practice by generating research, capacity-building initiatives, and public engagement activities that respond to emerging societal challenges in the digital age.

Aligned with existing academic programs, particularly graduate programs in DCOMM and MDC that emphasize research, innovation, and interdisciplinary inquiry, this research group will:

Serve as a research incubation space for graduate students pursuing theses or dissertations related to digital communication, sustainable development, social transformation, and emerging technologies.

Support graduate-level courses by integrating ongoing research projects into teaching and learning activities, enabling students to engage in real-world research contexts.

Facilitate collaborative research supervision and mentoring, fostering research productivity and scholarly development among graduate students.

Provide opportunities for graduate students to participate in funded projects, conference presentations, and research dissemination activities.

Strengthen research-based learning through interdisciplinary collaboration across programs such as development communication, education, information and communication studies, and related fields.
