Dr. Emely M. Amoloza, a faculty member of the UP Open University Faculty of Information and Communication Studies participated in the 16th Asian Conference on the Social Sciences (ACSS2025) held from 11-16 May 2025, at the Toshi Center Hotel in Tokyo, Japan.
Organized by the International Academic Forum (IAFOR), ACSS2025 gathered 570 scholars and experts from 51 countries around the world to explore critical issues under the theme “Social Sciences for a Sustainable Future.” The conference featured sessions on peace education, artificial intelligence, global citizenship, and interdisciplinary research.
Dr. Amoloza presented a co-authored research study with Ms. Jeanelle Amoloza titled “Designing a Knowledge Management Framework for a Development Assistance Project: The Case of a Household-Level Food Security Program,” contributing to ongoing global discourse on enhancing food security at the household level through effective knowledge management. Their work aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), by addressing strategies to improve food access and resilience at the community level, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), by promoting effective collaboration and knowledge sharing in development projects. Dr. Amoloza’s participation also underscored UPOU’s commitment to global academic engagement and the advancement of impactful, socially relevant research in the social sciences.
