A survey course on development communication traditions, theories, principles, and approaches.
COURSE GOALS:
By the end of the course, you should be able to:
- explain the so-called underdevelopment problematique;
- cite, and compare basic models, theories, and concepts of communication;
- discuss the function/role of communication in the development process;
- define development communication;
- articulate a philosophy of development communication;
- describe the roles and competencies of a DevCom practitioner;
- Illustrate or display your understanding through a knowledge product.
