Professor Arminda V. Santiago is a tenured full time faculty member and the immediate past Dean (2019-2022) of the College of Mass Communication University of the Philippines in Diliman. She is an affiliate faculty member of the Faculty of Information and Communication Studies serving in the Doctor of Communication Program of the University of the Philippines Open University. Dr. Santiago is the immediate past Editor-In-Chief of the Plaridel Journal, A Philippine Journal of Communication, Media, and Society. She is the immediate past President of the U.P. College of Mass Communication Foundation, Incorporated. She is the Director for Education and Research of TVUP, the Internet Television Station of the University of the Philippines System.

Women and Gender in Media; Women Imaging Women in the Mass Media; Film and the Filipino Woman; Evolving Discourses on the Filipino Woman; The Evolving Film Culture and Landscape in the Philippines Brought About by Digital Technology; Filipino Women and Filipino Men Directors in the Mainstream Film Industry; Filipino Cinematographers and Editors.
