COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Multimedia and the construction of gender through critical analyses and investigation.

COURSE GOAL:

The main goal of this course is to acquaint you with the philosophical and theoretical underpinnings of gender and multimedia. At the end of the course you should be able to:

  • examine the main processes of the construction of gender in multimedia
  • describe gender issues generated by multimedia applications and practices
  • develop critical thinking in constructing texts as contribution to the discourse of gender and multimedia
